Chicken Tikka is a popular Pak-Indian dish that is made with marinated chunks of chicken that are grilled or broiled. Here's a simple recipe for making Chicken Tikka:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Oil, for brushing

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder (if using), turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken chunks and toss to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat a grill or broiler to high heat.
  4. Thread the chicken chunks onto skewers, reserving the marinade.
  5. Brush the chicken skewers with oil and grill or broil for 8-10 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  6. While the chicken is cooking, heat the reserved marinade in a pan over medium heat and bring to a boil.
  7. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for a few minutes until it thickens.
  8. Serve the Chicken Tikka with the cooked marinade as a dipping sauce.
