Recipe for Chicken Qorma
1 lb boneless chicken thighs or breast, cut into bite-size pieces
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, minced
1-2 green chilies, finely chopped (optional)
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder (optional)
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt, to taste
Oil, for cooking
Instructions:
In a pan, heat some oil and sautรฉ the onions until they turn translucent.
Add the ginger and garlic and sautรฉ for a minute.
Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chili powder (if using) and sautรฉ for another minute.
Add the chicken pieces and sautรฉ for 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Stir in the yogurt and cream and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes or until it thickens.
Season with salt to taste.
Serve the Chicken Qorma with rice or flatbread.
